This Privacy Policy works alongside our Terms of Use. Where a specific program, community, or product is offered under its own written privacy terms, those terms govern that offering.

Salus Vitae Group LLC respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.

  • "You" and "User" mean any individual or entity that accesses the Website or uses any Product or Service, including visitors, waitlist registrants, applicants, participants, members, purchasers, clients, students, authors, speakers, contributors, and institutional partners.

  • "Website" or "Site" means salusvitaegroup.com and its subdomains, including all pages, features, content, and functionality made available through them.

  • "Services" means the programs, communities, memberships, advisory engagements, speaking engagements, publications, trainings, newsletters, coaching, events, and other offerings and features we provide or make available now or in the future, whether free or paid, online or in person.

  • "Products" means digital and physical goods we offer now or in the future, including books, guides, templates, downloads, recordings, courses, printed materials, and merchandise

  • “Personal information” means information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked with you. Terms used by specific laws, such as “personal data,” carry the meaning given in those laws.

3.1 Information You Provide

We encourage you to review the payment processor’s own privacy policy to understand how it handles your financial information. 

  • Subscription preferences, such as your email address and communication preferences when you subscribe to our newsletter or other communications.

  • Referral information, such as how you heard about Salus Vitae Group, if you provide it.

  • Recruitment and contributor information, such as the materials you submit it you apply to join our team, faculty, or contributor roster, including your CV or resume, work history, references, and the content of your application or proposal.

  • Account information, such as your username and the settings and preferences associated with any account you create. 

  • Social media information, such as your name, profile image, professional details, and other publicly available profile information, consistent with your settings, if you interact with us on a platform such as LinkedIn. If you want to limit what others can see, you are responsible for adjusting your privacy settings directly with that platform. 

It you take part in a community or membership area that lets you post comments, questions, or other content, others in that space may see what you choose to share. Please do not post anything you do not want others to see.

You may decline to provide personal information, but doing so may prevent you from accessing certain features, Products, or Services. 

Please do not submit sensitive personal information through open-text fields. We do not request and do not need special categories of data, such as health, racial or ethnic, religious, sexual orientation, financial account, or government identifier information. If you voluntarily share information of this kind in connection with a specific service, we use it only for the purpose for which you shared it and not otherwise without your consent. If you request an accommodation for a disability or a dietary need in connection with an event or program, we collect the limited information you provide for that request and use it only to arrange the accommodation.

The website uses cookies and similar technologies, including analytics and advertising cookies, as described in the Cookies and Similar Technologies section. Advertising and other non-essential cookies are set only after you consent through our cookie banner. Subject to your choices, these may collect information such as your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, pages viewed, referring pages, time spent on the Site, and your interactions with the Site. Our website hosting and form-processing providers may collect standard technical logs when you visit or submit a form, such as IP address, browser type, divide type, and timestamps, for security, delivery, and abuse-prevention purposes. You control what a platform shares with us through your settings on that platform. We may also receive information from payment processors and event-registration platforms used to deliver our services.

Salus Vitae Group may collect and use the User’s information for the following purposes:

  • Service delivery: to process enrollments and purchases; deliver programs, communities, advisory and speaking services, books, publications, and events; and fulfill your requests.

  • ‍‍Waitlist and inquiry management: to send program details, application timelines, admissions updates, and responses to inquiries.

  • Admissions processing: to evaluate applications and make admissions decisions.

  • Recruitment and contributor evaluation: to review applications and proposals from prospective team members, faculty, and contributors, and to communicate with applicants.

  • Communications: to send transactional and service messages, and the newsletter and content you have subscribed to, and to measure delivery and engagement with those messages so we can improve them. We may also use your contact information to interact with you on social media or other platforms we use for the Website, Products, and Services.

  • Customer service and support: to respond to your inquiries, questions, and requests, and to resolve support and service needs efficiently.

  • Institutional partnerships: to respond to inquiries and manage ongoing partnerships.

  • ‍‍Account management: to create and operate accounts, authenticate you, and let you manage your preferences, where accounts are offered.

  • Personalization and improvement: to understand, in aggregate, how Users engage with the Website, Products, and Services, and to operate, secure, and improve them.

  • ‍‍Research and development: to develop new Products, Services, and content, and to grow our offerings.

  • ‍‍Promotions and giveaways: to administer awards, promotions, surveys, and giveaways you choose to enter.

5. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

We do not sell your information for money. Each User assumes full responsibility for the disclosure and use of any personal information they choose to disclose to us. We share personal information only as follows:

  • Service providers: vendors that process data on our behalf under contractual protections, in categories including form processing, email and newsletter delivery, website hosting, payment processing, event registration, analytics, security and fraud prevention, and virtual program delivery.

  • Faculty and program staff: Faculty chair and authorized team members who need access to deliver program services.

  • ‍‍Cohort peers: participant names and professional affiliations may be shared within the same cohort as part of the program experience.

  • ‍‍Featured guests and contributors: where you take part in our events, sessions, or produced content as a guest, speaker, or contributor, your name, professional affiliation, and recorded statements may be shared as part of that content under a separate participation agreement.

  • Published authors and contributors: where you agree to have your work published or featured by us, your name and professional affiliation appear publicly with the published work, as described in our Terms of Use.

  • Institutional sponsors: if your participation is sponsored, we may share enrollment confirmation and completion status with the sponsor.

  • Legal authorities and successors: when required by law or to protect rights, property, or safety, and in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, due-diligence process, or sale of assets, in each case under appropriate confidentiality protections and subject to this Policy.

6. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION

We will keep the personal data you provide us for as long as necessary to fulfill its purpose, to administer the relevant relationship, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our Agreements, and conduct our legitimate business. We cannot control the data retention policies and practices of third-parties. Please refer to a third-party's privacy policy and contact them directly if you have any questions about data it holds.

Rights Available to You

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, or to withdraw consent for its processing.  We are committed to ensuring you understand and can exercise your rights regarding your personal data. You have the following rights (subject to applicable law and exceptions): right to know, access, correct inaccuracies, data portability, delete personal information, opt out of the sale of personal information, sharing for targeted advertising, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and file a complaint. You have the right to exercise your data rights without discrimination. We do not discriminate against you for exercising their rights under applicable laws. 

How to Exercise Your Rights

We are committed to your privacy and will take the reasonable steps necessary to check and verify your identity before processing your request within the time required by applicable law. It is at the discretion of the Company to determine how to verify your identity; this may include, but is not limited to, asking you to provide your email address associated with your information to send a verification code or email or provide your user ID and password, or other methods. Please note that these rights are not absolute, and some may be subject to certain limitations and exemptions under applicable laws. 

Right to Appeal

We may deny a request if we believe the change would violate any law, regulatory, or legal requirements or result in inaccurate information. If a denial of the request is made, you can appeal by submitting a request to contact@salusvitaegroup.comwith the subject line “Privacy Appeal.” We will respond within the period required by law.

California Residents

This Policy serves as our notice at collection for California residents and describes the categories of personal information we collect, the purposes for which we use it, the categories of sources, and the categories of recipients, all as set out above. We do not sell personal information for money. We may use advertising cookies, and when they are active we share categories of personal information such as online identifiers and internet or other electronic network activity with advertising partners. Under California law this is sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising and may be a sale, and you have the right to opt out. You may opt out at any time through our cookie settings control or a Global Privacy Control signal. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require a right to limit, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of individuals under 16. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

Universal Opt-Out Signals

We treat a recognized browser-based opt-out preference signal, such a Global Privacy Control, as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising and to decline non-essential cookies for that browser. You can also exercise this choice at any time through our cookie settings control on the website. 

8. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS

When you subscribe to our newsletters or other marketing communications, you consent to receive them. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you may also unsubscribe by emailing us. Unsubscribing from marketing does not affect transactional or service messages about programs, memberships, or purchases you have made.

We are based in the United States, and our Site, Products, and Services are hosted by servers located in the United States. For Users outside of the United States, we want you to be aware that in order to provide our Site, Products, or Services to you, your data will be transferred to the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your location. If you access them from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be collected, transferred, stored, and processed in the United States.

You are responsible for protecting the confidentiality of your login credentials and for using appropriate precautions when interacting with our Site, Products, Services, emails, and third-party links. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, virus-free, error-free, or secure access, and we are not responsible for damage to your devices or data arising from your use of or access to the Site, Products, Services, or linked resources, to the extent permitted by law.

12. CHILDREN

Our Site, Products, and Services are intended for adults and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us at privacy@salusvitaegroup.com if you believe we have inadvertently done so, and we will delete the information.

13. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

The Company may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will post the updated Policy with a revised effective date and significant changes will be communicated through reasonable means. Your continued use of the Website, Products, and Services after we post an updated Policy means you have seen the current version.
